Products Description

Our planetary reducers systems can be adapted to a wide range of motors, including stepper motors, servo motors. High precision, small size, high load capacity and long service life make them widely used in automation equipment, robotics, machine tools and industrial machinery.

Hansheng planetary gear reducers increase the internal torque of the system while radically reducing the speed and torsional inertia ratio of the system. Planetary gearheads are lighter in weight and more compact in design than comparable gearhead systems, thus offering more design options.

Product Advantage

Planetary reducer has high precision, high strength, high abrasion resistance and high corrosion resistance.

1. Gear material selection of alloy steel (20CrMnTi, 18Cr2Ni4WA) by carburizing quenching treatment, has a high hardness and wear resistance. Stainless steel (304, 316, for corrosion-resistant environment).

2. the planetary frame material selection of aluminum alloy (6061, 7075) lightweight and high strength. Cast iron (HT250) for high load occasions.

3. Bearings are made of high carbon chrome steel, such as GCr15, with high hardness and wear resistance. Heat-treated to improve hardness and wear resistance. Precision grinding ensures high precision and low friction.

4. The shell material is aluminum alloy ADC12, lightweight and good heat dissipation. Cast iron HT200 for high strength and vibration damping.

5. Lubrication material selected grease: lithium grease, polyurea grease for gear and bearing lubrication. Lubricating oil: mineral oil, synthetic oil, for high speed and high temperature environment.

Working Principle

Simple planetary reducers systems let input power rapidly turn the solar gear. Equally spaced around the centre axis of rotation, the planets mesh with the sun and the stationary ring gear so they orbit as they roll. Every planet is set atop a single spinning member known as a cage, arm, or carrier.

Transmission of the planetary gear system passes through the mutual meshing of the sun gear, planet gears, and inner ring gear. With the help of the planet carrier, the motor forces the sun gear to rotate; the planet gears rotate and revolve around the sun gear, therefore producing power. Large gearbox ratio, great efficiency, and consistent load define it; it is fit for uses with high torque and limited area. The system is extensively applied in situations requiring exact power transfer, such robotics, machine tools, and industrial equipment; it functions without problems.

features of systems

Usually, planetary reduction systems have greater than 95% of gearbox efficiency.

Small size, light weight, and great torque output in a constrained space define a compact construction.

Multiple planetary gears equally distribute the load, so the system is more durable.

Different gearbox ratios: Gear design allows one to change the reduction ratio rather freely.

Perfect operation: The minimal vibration and noise of the densely meshed gears fit for high-precision situations.

FAQ

Q: How do I choose the right lubricant? What are the recommendations for different operating conditions?

A: The choice of lubricant should be based on the equipment's operating speed, temperature, and load:
Normal operating conditions (speed ≤ 3000 rpm, temperature -20°C to 60°C): Lithium-based grease is recommended, as it offers excellent wear resistance and stability.
High-speed operating conditions (speed > 3000 rpm): Synthetic oil is recommended, as it reduces heat generated by high-speed friction and extends gear life.
High-temperature operating conditions (temperature > 80°C): Polyurea grease is recommended, with a temperature resistance of up to 150°C and suitable for applications such as oven drives.
Humid/corrosive environments: Use a rust-resistant grease, which works best with stainless steel gearboxes.

Q: How are the accuracy levels of planetary reduction systems classified? What applications are suitable for different accuracy levels?

A: Accuracy grades are based on backlash (backlash error) and positioning accuracy as core indicators:
High-precision grade (backlash ≤ 1 arcmin, positioning accuracy ≤ ±0.01mm): Suitable for applications sensitive to positioning errors, such as robot joints, laser cutting equipment, and semiconductor wafer handling robotic arms;
General-purpose grade (backlash 1-3 arcmin): Suitable for general industrial automation equipment, such as CNC machine tool feed axes and packaging machinery positioning mechanisms;
Economic grade (backlash 3-5 arcmin): Suitable for heavy-duty applications with lower precision requirements, such as conveyor belt drives and mixing equipment.

Q: I'm experiencing abnormal noise or vibration during system operation. What might be the cause? How can I resolve this issue?

A: Installation deviation: A coaxial error between the motor and the gearbox greater than 0.1mm can easily cause vibration. Recalibrate the mounting flange to ensure axis alignment.
Insufficient lubrication: A lack of oil on the gear meshing surfaces can cause metal-to-metal friction noise. Regularly relubricate the corresponding grease according to the manual.
Overload: Exceeding 120% of the rated torque may cause gear deformation and abnormal noise. Check whether the equipment load exceeds the specification range and upgrade to a higher torque model if necessary.
Component wear: After long-term use, gear tooth wear or bearing aging may require replacement of worn parts (it is recommended to contact the manufacturer for professional inspection).

Q: What is the development cycle for a customized planetary reduction system? What parameters are required?

A: Customization typically takes 15-20 days (depending on complexity). Customers are required to provide the following parameters:
Core requirements: reduction ratio, output torque, and backlash requirements;
Motor specifications: brand and model, output shaft size, flange specifications, and rated speed;
Installation method: output connection type (shaft output/flange output/hollow shaft), installation orientation (horizontal/vertical);
Operating conditions: operating temperature, waterproof/dustproof/explosion-proof requirements, and equipment operating cycle (continuous/intermittent operation).

Q: Is the product warrantied?

A: All planetary reduction systems come with a 20-month warranty.
